Lauren is a small animal veterinarian with a passion for high-quality medicine, mentorship, and making veterinary care more accessible—especially in the shelter world. She earned her DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2018 and has worked in both New York and Chicago in general practice, emergency, and oncology settings.

Lauren spent several years as a medical director and owner of two general practice hospitals in Chicago, where she focused on developing supportive, high-functioning teams and improving the client and patient experience. She’s also worked in veterinary oncology, helping pets and their families navigate complex treatment options with care and compassion.

Now working as a relief vet, Lauren enjoys the variety and flexibility that comes with supporting clinics across the Chicago area. She’s also proud to work with Shelter Vet On-the-Go, PLLC, bringing veterinary services directly to shelters and rescues that need extra support.

Outside of work, Lauren is an avid cook, and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their rescue Greyhound, Pepper.
